FAQs
What is your pricing model?
Our process begins when you call for an appointment, we work to find a time that works for you as well as it works for us. We do charge a dispatch fee to get a van to your door. This includes a 12 point safety check of your electrical system, a professional electrician to discuss your project with (not an estimator or sales person), and multiple tailor made solutions to your problem or project. We work off of a Straightforward Pricing Guide for all labor. That means that we give you the cost of your project up front and give you the option to decline service. Our pricing considers our 3 year warranty, training above and beyond state requirements, and 100% satisfaction guarantee. We also offer apples to apples pricing, if you find a company that offers comparable services at a lower price we will match it.
Do you offer financing?
We offer financing through Synchrony Financial Services. You can fill out an application and they will evaluate your status. Rates can vary so ask your technician about current offerings.
An area of my house is out of power!
If you find one area or room out of power there are some safe and simple fixes that can save you money.
- Locate your breaker panel
- Look for breakers with handles between the Off and On positions. These are "Tripped"
- Switch the breaker Off then back On
- If it doesn't immediately trip, look to see if power is restored
- If the breaker stays On but power isn't back look for a GFCI (the plugs with the test and reset buttons often found in wet/damp locations like outside, bathrooms, garages, etc)
- GFCIs in one area may impact plugs in another area, check thoroughly (behind couches, in different rooms, under sinks)
- If you find a GFCI, push the reset button firmly. If it clicks into place check for power
- If these don't restore power, call in a professional
How soon can you come?
Our schedule varies throughout the year depending on a variety of factors. Often we can get you on the schedule within 2 weeks and can move you up if there's an opening. We do offer emergency services within business hours if the schedule permits for same-day or next-day service. Our Safety and Savings Club members receive 24/7 emergency service with their direct owner phone line.
When should I look at upgrading?
It's easy to overlook the age of your electrical system when everything works but being proactive is being productive. The average breaker panel lifespan is 35-50 years depending on brand. Zinsco and Federal Pacific brands are notorious for failing to do their job of protecting you and your home. An electrical panel that is full doesn't leave room to upgrade in the future so electrification of appliances or cars may be more expensive than you first thought. Plugs with only two slots, wire that is brittle, and wire casing that is falling off or not made of rubbery material are all signs that you should start considering updating/upgrading your electrical system.
You do that?
There's no such thing as a job too small or too large:
- Lightbulb/fixture changes
- New circuits
- Undercabinet lighting
- Surge protection
- Lighting upgrades/changes
- Backup power
